Australian Flower Photography and Leonid's special method of Capture!
Leonid's aim is to capture design, texture and colour in nature. He strives for simplicity and visual impact to reveal the amazing beauty of flowers wherever they bloom. These images capture not only the essence of Australian wildflowers but also the unique detail of even the most insignificant garden blossom.
Leonid prefers to photograph wild flowers on an overcast day, with the least amount of wind or air disturbance. He recommends using a white reflector or white umbrella held over single flowers on a sunny day. The effect of this shade on the subject will amaze you! Try it and see!
Some studies are arranged in his Studio. 'Solico', the image below of leaves in autumn was photographed in this manner, also 'Wild Poppies', a very popular image, now decorating homes in Adelaide, London and New York. Leonid has also used flower images to create works of art using the computer and hand printing his own images on Hannemule everlasting German etching paper.
All fine art photographs by Leonid are limited edition, numbered, signed and protection coated mounted on light weight Gator Board. They are available for purchase in a range of sizes to suit you. The picture will be a powerful investment in years to come!
